KS2 Cross Country

October 9, 2016

On the 6th October 268 runners from Y3-4 in the Partnership descended upon the top field at King Edward VI. For the first time races were mixed with scores from the first 10 finishers of each school contributing to their team total. There were 124 runners in the Y3/&4 race, which was a 1 lap circuit of roughly 0.9 miles. All starters managed to complete the course and the winning school was Ickworth Park. A huge 144 runners lined up to start the Y5&6 race, a record for a Partnership Cross Country race. An extra lap was added to increase the difficulty for the older age but still the pace was very good. St Edmunds triumphed with a very low combined score to take the Y5&6 honours.
